Photos, waivers, the card
How do we prove the scratch was not already there?
There's no video on this page yet. The answer is the real one. When we film it, this same page gets the tape.
Take timestamped, GPS-tagged photos at check-out and check-in. The workflow is part of checkout, not a separate app staff forget. Honest photos also protect the guest from last week's ding.
Read photo documentation. Damage charges still need their own walkthrough.
How it actually works
A photo-docs page is not a filmed return-and-damage charge. Recording the condition is this job. Charging for damage is still a separate, unfilmed path.
Easy to mix up
- A memory at the gate is enough.
- This page is the same as a damage-charge training film.
