Can I check them in if they still owe a balance?
There's no video on this page yet. The answer is the real one. When we film it, this same page gets the tape.
Usually you collect the remaining balance at check-in, using the card on file or a new card, then release the unit. Full payment is the normal gate. You do not have to pretend the balance vanished.

Check-in can collect. It is not a free pass unless you waived the rest.

- Check-in is blocked forever if a dollar remains.
- You can skip the balance and the books still look paid.
