Rex AI Assistant

Fleet Status & Weather Intelligence

Ask Rex about fleet status ("What's available Saturday?") or weather ("What's the forecast this weekend?"). Rex combines both to suggest smart actions like creating deals when weather is good and units are open.

Rex knows your fleet inside and out — which units are available, who's rented what, which returns are overdue, and what's in maintenance. Rex also knows the weather at your location and uses both to help you make smart decisions.

Fleet Status

Real-Time Unit Status

Ask Rex about your fleet at any time:

  • "What's the fleet status right now?"
  • "Which units are available today?"
  • "Are any rentals overdue?"

Rex shows every unit with its current state:

StatusMeaning
AvailableNo active booking — ready to rent
ReservedBooked but not yet picked up
RentedCurrently out with a customer
OverduePast the scheduled return time
MaintenanceBlocked for cleaning, repair, or other downtime

For rented and overdue units, Rex shows the customer name and return time.

Check Availability for a Specific Date

  • "Is the 24ft pontoon available this Saturday?"
  • "What's available next weekend?"
  • "Show me July 4th availability"

Rex checks each unit against existing bookings and shows: - Which units are open - Which are booked (and by whom) - Total available vs. total fleet

Next 7 Days Overview

Rex can show a quick utilization forecast:

  • "What does this week look like?"
  • "How booked are we for the next few days?"

You'll see each day's booking percentage so you can spot empty days and plan accordingly.

Scheduling Maintenance

Block a unit for cleaning, repair, inspection, or any downtime — directly through Rex.

How to ask: - "Block the jet ski for maintenance tomorrow" - "Schedule cleaning for the pontoon Friday through Sunday" - "Put the UTV in the shop next week for inspection"

What Rex shows: - Unit name and maintenance dates - Maintenance type (cleaning, damage, inspection, etc.) - Any booking conflicts during that window - Confirmation prompt

Rex checks for conflicts before creating the block. If there's a booking during the maintenance window, Rex lets you know so you can reschedule.

Weather Intelligence

Current Conditions

Rex knows the weather at your business location:

  • "What's the weather like today?"
  • "What's the forecast for Saturday?"

Rex shows: - Current temperature and conditions - Wind speed - Best hours for rentals - Marine data (water temperature, wave height) where applicable - Active weather alerts

Rental Advisories

Rex interprets weather in rental terms:

LevelMeaning
IdealPerfect conditions — great day for rentals
GoodSolid rental weather with minor considerations
CautionWeather may affect some rental types — communicate with customers
UnsafeSafety concern — consider proactive cancellations

Weather-Smart Suggestions

Rex combines weather with fleet utilization to suggest actions:

  • Good weather + empty fleet: "Great weather this weekend and 4 pontoons open — want me to create a last-minute deal?"
  • Weather advisory: "Wind advisory for Saturday afternoon. Want to draft a heads-up email to afternoon customers?"
  • Ideal weekend: "Perfect conditions and 80% booked — strong weekend ahead."

Combining Fleet + Weather

The real power is when Rex connects fleet and weather data:

You: How should I plan for this weekend?

Rex: Great news — weather looks ideal both days (78°F, light
     winds, sunny).

Saturday: 6 of 8 units booked (75% utilization)
Sunday: 3 of 8 units booked (38% utilization)

Sunday has 5 open units — perfect conditions with low
bookings. Want me to create a Sunday special to fill
     those slots?

This kind of contextual intelligence helps you make fast, informed decisions.
